Did you ever get an answer on this Katherine? Because ours aren't the same fields as you so there must be a way.
You can change these in the Profile Settings area of the admin console. People > Settings > Profile Settings. Under Manage Properties is an option that looks like this:
You will want to click that for the fields that you want to be filterable in your reports. Hope this helps!
FYI, I am on cloud, but I don’t think there would be too much difference in the Admin console.
