    Can not make JSON calls

    denisse

Hi, I am  trying to embed community content in our website, JSON calls are not allowed and we are getting an error message caused by cross-domain requests not being allowed. Unfortunately CORS, which is a feature that would enable cross origin requests, is not supported by Jive 7. Has anyone tried something similar? How do you handle this restrictions? Is there a work around you could share?

Any suggestions are more than welcome,

      Thank you!

One way that you could do this with an add-on, would be to right a simple node service queries the required information and makes the data available as a JSON object that can be defined as a simple <script src=""> tag.  This would allow the JSON to be available ...similar to JSONP, which should not be subject to CORS.  The trick will be to load a script on your instance through an HTML Widget that depends on the variables loaded from the middleware service.  Does that help?
