Best tool I know for every aspect is MindManager / Mindjet www.mindjet.com - Has good task & resource management like MS Project but in a far easier interface, can be shared with the team in a cloud space for updates anytime, allows having links to everything relevant, the mapping/visualization features let you plan and rearrange (in planning) community layouts, you can zoom out for 30,000 foot view and in for today's tasks...
I use Trello. It is a great project management application. It's free, you can also download it on your phone, and you can create many projects, boards, and cards - it looks like a board with sticky notes on it - you can have more details on the "sticky note" once you click on it - invite people, use checklists, attach files, etc. You can drag and drop the cards from one column to another, have due dates, assign them to different people, etc. It's very easy to use and pretty powerful.
