    Rate limits for REST API

    fernando.nardini

Hi, I'd like to know what are the rate limits for calls to the Rest API (https://developers.jivesoftware.com/api/v3/cloud/rest/) by an external application using Oauth2.

I've only found https://community.jivesoftware.com/docs/DOC-68846 but I think it's not what I'm looking for.

      Thanks!

Let me escalate this internally.  Want to make sure that I give you the right limit for the right system (i.e. Jive, or any load balancers that might be configured).  Emily Harsh I think might know as well.

Got a few opinions on the matter to be safe.  From a platform perspective, we do not throttle requests, due to the number of use-cases such as mobile/search that might have varying levels of load.  We do throttle the number of requests that originate from within a Jive App extension, but if you were to execute pure REST against Jive, then there is nothing in the product to limit your rate.  That being said, of all the other layers that exist in your/our network topologies, you'll need to make sure that there are not any (D)DoS protections that might interface.  Hope this helps =)
