Thanks for sharing such detailed information about what you'd like to see in licensing documentation. I'm going to share your question with some people in Support since this kind of account management subject is a bit outside our purview. I'll let you know what I find out.
Update: Support is looking into next steps on this.
Hi Allan - I wanted to post here to let you know that I've been working with our Account Support team around the support case and the requests in this discussion. Based on this, we've posted a new FAQ in the Jive Knowledge Base that covers how the My Account system works and some common questions we've seen around license management.
The article is posted over at FAQ: On Premise Licenses and My Account.
Let me know if you have any questions or feedback around the KB article.
Thank you David. I'll take a look at it in next few days.
Would you consider including this latest license issue Updating license, "but Jive does not have permission to overwrite its contents. Please ensure you have write permissions on the license file." in the document? I was surprised that the license file location was not documented in the JC, since it was not, I now must do another restart and test cycle.
Please also include the complete error message (here's a snippet -- "but Jive does not have permission to overwrite its contents. Please ensure you have write permissions on the license file") , as this is what I was searching on in the JC 2 hours ago.
