Hi decimalgirl -
You can edit the Display Name for this profile file by going to the following area: Admin Console: People > Settings > Profile Settings.
Here you can edit the "Title" field, where you will see a list of display names used for that field for each language. Here you can see that I've updated it from "Title" to "Test Test!" for english.

I have changed Title to Job Title.
I did get a message after saving the changes saying
"Warning: Some options that control field searchability or visibility have changed, visit the User Search page and rebuild the index"
Do I need to worry about this?
As long as you don't change the visibility configuration settings for a field then you can dismiss this field! The reason this comes up is that you may have previously had a field that was marked as private and not visible to standard users, and if you opened this up you would likely need to rebuild the user search index in order for those now public fields to be searchable.
