A lot of what I talk about in my blog series is using Jive as a collaboration / collateral hub during a project effort.
Unfortunately, Jive isn't really intended to do things that tools like MS Project or OmniPlan or Smartsheet or Rally do-- Namely managing resources, constraints, and timelines.
I have heard ideas of building custom integrations with other cloud-based tools such as Rally or Clarizen to bring the timeline or resource view of a gantt chart into the collaborative project area within Jive for quick access by project members, or to establish a sync that would send activity updates from external systems into Jive.
