    Jive's Maven Support Case

      Hello Support Team,

I am building plugin for jive. For settings.xml it wants server side username and password.

According to this doc: https://community.jivesoftware.com/docs/DOC-111844#jive_content_id_Creating_a_Plugin  . It says:

You will need an account on Jive's Maven Archiva site. If you do not have an account, you can request one by creating a Support Case.

I tried logging on to the URL given, but it redirects me to the jivesoftware.com. And so I am opting for the next option, to file the support case!!

Please, help me guys !! I want to customize the URL.So I am creating a plugin for it .. . And it gives me unauthorized error

      Downloading: https://repo.maven.apache.org/maven2/org/codehaus/mojo/maven-metadata.xml

Hi Urvashi Sharma - You will need to create a new private support case instead of a public discussion so we can investigate this issue with you privately, as we may need to exchange passwords and verify your account access with your organization.

It does not look like you're a part of any Jive customer support groups at this time, so you will not be able to create a new support case until you gain access.  Can you work with your community manager who normally files support cases so they can create this request on your behalf and invite you to your company's support group?  There is an FAQ here about getting access to your group: MyJive Secret Support Group Administration FAQ

                  Hi David Bastedo,

My managers have sent the request!! To add me to the company group.

Now, I am confused Where will I find my secret group in the community?

Will I get some request from the jive team to accept? Or what?

Can you please help me into this?

                    • Re: Jive's Maven Support Case

Hi Urvashi Sharma - All paying customers who have licensed Jive will have their own secret group in Jive Community for their company that is used for filing new support cases. The group is typically the name of your organization.

With this secret group you will be able to access the Jive binaries and our Maven system to do custom development.

From looking up our records it looks like you may be a developer for another organization, as I only see trial instances of Jive for your company and there is no contract. If that is the case, it may be best to connect with the company you're doing development work for and have them request access on your behalf.
