    Prettylinks in profile fields

    dbgilbert

Is it in any way possible to get a pretty name for a hyperlink in a URL field of a user's profile? We would like to show something like this: Link instead of something like this http://www.someLink.com/campus-map/?view=map&usr=DBGilbert@seic.com. I can't find a way to do this either through the API setting the fields or through the User doing so with Jive's edit profile interface.

          Hi Daniel,

While there is an option to add a URL to a user's profile,

this will display the full URL and not a "pretty" version of it. As such, if you are interested in this type of feature I would recommend creating an idea in the Ideas for Jive space where our Product Managers review top rated ideas for possible inclusions into future releases of the product. Additionally, if you are interested in having this feature in your current instance it might be possible to add in this feature via a customization. If you would like to pursue this option please file a case in your secret support group here in the Jive Community and the next available support engineer can assist in setting up an engagement with our Professional Services team.

          Thanks!
