Blog Post should be displayed as an option similar to the screenshot below. The only time you should not see all of the content type options if the place where the original document is stored does not support them, or you don't have permission to publish a particular content type there (i.e., blog posts).
If you copy the URL but replace the end of the URL with conversionType=POST rather than DOCUMENT, does it allow you to create a Blog? I'm wondering if it is missing from the UI and will allow you to create a blog or if it is a setting/permission issue.
I tried with URL as conversionType=POST , conversionType=DOCUMENT and conversionType=QUESTION. However in all the cases i am getting "Unauthorized" access message.
And today when i navigated to that document with User X's login who has edit rights to this document, "create a copy" link was missing. Please see below screenshot:
User has edit rights, but "create a copy" link is not there:
Thanks and Regards,
Sorry for the delay I thought I had responded to this one. Thanks for the screenshot, this is strange that the create a copy option does not appear especially since I can see that you are the author of the content. I have tried to reproduce this scenario on my testing site and have not been able to. Therefore if you still do not see the Create a copy from the Action widget, I would suggest opening up a support case in your customer group here in the Jive Community so that the next available support engineer can further investigate your specific instance.
