Image Mapping - Browser inconsistencies and malfunctioning

    tgreff

      Hello,

I'm having an issue with image mapping localization. It seems as though the HTML image map I have created in Jive 6's WYSIWYG editor only functions using Google Chrome (where it was originally created). When the document is opened in both IE and Firefox the image map does not function at all.

I can provide code as necessary.

      Thanks!

      Tyler

          Hi Tyler,

Though troubleshooting and advising on custom HTML codes falls outside the scope/expertise of the services offered by Jive Support, if you are interested in developing custom cod for an image map I would recommend reaching out to the Jive Developers space here on the Jive Community where you can collaborate with other developers on code you are working to develop. Additionally, I found the following blog which might be relevant to your project - How to create a clickable image map

Lastly, if you would like assistance developing custom HTML code our Professional Services team can work with you to determine the scope of the project and help in developing a solution which meets your needs. If you are interested in this option, please submit a case in your customer group here in the Jive Community and the next available support engineer can assist in setting up an engagement for you.

          Thanks!

              Jesse,

Thank you for the reply. The link you provided for creating a clickable image is actually where I took my code from. It is exactly the same as in the example provided, save for the URLs associated with the image. I am not creating any custom, never-seen-before code, it is a simple copy/paste. The issue I am having falls in the functionality of the various web browsers. Is there any Jive team that would be able to help me in this request? I am by no means a developer and have limited coding background, enough where I was able to understand and implement that code provided on the thread mentioned above.

              Thanks,

              Tyler
