We are currently working on enabling mobile solution for our internal collaboration platform (Jive-n 184.108.40.206) and using OOB native app for this. The issue we are facing is push notifications not working. I have couple of questions on this.
1) Does Jive use proxy server to connect to Jive push service? Our proxy server is enabled to connect to external network. If Jive does not use proxy server then we have to make firewall change for Webapp servers to connect to Jive push service.
2) How can we ensure push notifications delivered for any change to content? Meaning, can we look into database or anywhere else?
3) I see IP and port number for Jive push service, is there DNS domain for the same? Also, do we have to deploy any client cert for this connectivity.
4) there are message templates for email notifications which can be modified for any customizations. Similarly, are there any templates for push notifications?
Your help in clarifying these questions is highly appreciated.
