We are facing an issue in our community (we are using the Jive Cloud service) but we are not sure whether it is a bug or a feature.
This is the scenario:
1) user A created a document some months ago
2) user B must make some changes now and publish it again; he/she has Create permission in that space
3) before publishing the document again, user B would like to get the opinion from a colleague (changing temporarily the place of publication from "In a Place" to "Specific People")
4) after the review, user B must submit it to the approval of his boss (using the Advanced Option "Require Approval Before Publication")
The problem is: for an unknown reason, steps 3 and 4 cannot be performed because the options mentioned (place of publication and advanced options) are simply not shown! These two blocks of radio buttons are only visible to administrators and to the user who originally created the document (User A).
Here are the screenshots that show the difference:
Does anybody know whether this is a bug or a feature?
Thanks for your help.
Thanks for raising this report for the grayed out fields. This should not be grayed out if the user has permissions to create and edit the same document. I see you've already filed a support case to investigate this, so I would recommend working with the team member assigned to investigate this further.
