Hey Buck, this is a fun idea, here is how I could see it being done (with some manual work).
- Create a store item that talks to how to earn it by reseting to level 0. Make it cost 100,000 points (for example).
- If a user purchases this badge, an admin would manually assign a different hidden badge to that user with a -100,000 point reward. Yes, a negative reward.
So the user would need say 100,000 points to buy the store item, and then the badge you assign to them would also be -100,000 points. But there is some manual work to make it happen.
Potential issues that would be good to test first?
- I am not sure how well the leaderboards will react to users suddenly losing X points in bulk. Some leaderboards (global) will likely show correctly, but local (space and group) might show incorrect amounts.
The landing page of the bunchball console should have a property to send store notifications to a certain email address. If you are a cloud customer the support team can help you get access to the page.
