Hopefully I can provide you the bullets points you are looking for:
The first is like you mentioned, Connecting a Jive place to an existing SharePoint site with Sharepoint Online is not support.
If you are interested in using Jive for SP Online and O365 with a new site, you will need a Jive place linked to a site collection in SharePoint Online. In order to set up the Office 365 integration with Jive, you can follow the steps outlined here https://docs.jivesoftware.com/cloud_int/comm_mgr/jive.help.jiveformicrosoft/index.html#admin/InstallingtheJiveforOffice365AddOn.html
In regards to creating a place linked to SharePoint Online, this document goes over it: more https://docs.jivesoftware.com/cloud_int/comm_mgr/jive.help.jiveformicrosoft/index.html#user/CreatingaGroupLinkedtoOneDrive.html
The last part worth mentioning is that Jive for Sharepoint is not available with all Cloud versions therefore if you do not see it as part of your instance, you will want to reach out to your Account Manager so that he can further discuss packages with you.
Hope this helps.
is it possible to connect one Jive tenant with multiple SharePoint Online (O365) tenants (Requirement below)?
I found the below extract in this document, but it's not clear if this statement implies a positive answer to my previous question.
Thanks a lot and best regards,
