From the documentation, Jive 8 can run on IE 9,10 & 11. You can just try this anyway to give more inputs to the Jive team, click F12 and get the developer console. Check if the browser mode and document mode are on IE9 & IE9 standards respectively and then try again uploading the document. Also, explain (better with screenshots) the nature of the error/error message you see. I don't know how to get the console logs from IE, but that too would help them in debugging.
Per Jive Cloud documentation, IE9 should be supported.
If you're encountering specific issues with IE9, please verify that you don't have "Compatibility Mode" enabled and if so, turn tha off first. Secondly, try another workstation to verify if the issue is machine specific. If you continue to run into issues uploading files, I'd recommend submitting a support case in your private Jive Community customer group for direct troubleshooting. Please provide screenshots and more details on what isn't working, including precise steps to reproduce the issue.
We have an issue using IE9 where everything seems to work fine except the RTE editor does not load in documents. You are able to type, but it immediately disappears.
Compatibility mode is turned off.
