Reviewing through your inquiry I would recommend creating a case in your secret customer group here in the Jive Community so that the next available support engineer can assist in reviewing the Retention settings associated with your specific instance.
Thanks, Jesse. I had originally attempted to create a Private Case earlier, but it did not appear in my list of content. I assumed I did something incorrectly, so I resubmitted as Public. I have since created new cases for the items I've created as Questions.
