      Scope:

      Is there a way to lock out an account for an external group user on failed password attempts

       

      2.  I enter my ID and pwd x 3 there is no lock out for the external group member.

       

       

      What can be done is the following which is not a good means of locking out an account

       

      Not a great solution looking for something better than below.

      At present, we do not offer an out-of-the-box lockout facility following multiple login attempts but as per Admin Console > People > Settings > Login Security > Login Security Settings, it is possible to configure login throttling.

       

       

      What I would rather see is a lock out feature and have it send a email to an admin group email from some system property that the following account is locked out.

       

       

      This would be to lock out from a Brute Force attack and or fail attempt by end user.
