I am getting SSL protocol error while adding tiles on my local Jive 8.0.1 instance on Windows VM.
Even getting same error for Jive OOTB tiles. The configuration popup coming with message loading only. There is no error as such in sbs log but in browser inspect console got error
"https://localhost:8080/gadgets/api/rpc?st=2013%3A2013%3A_%3Adomain_1458046333751%3A_%3A0%3Adefault%3A1458049933 Failed to load resource: net::ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR"
I have also updated JCE 8 local_policy.jar and US_export_policy.jar using Java Cryptography Extension (JCE) Unlimited Strength Jurisdiction Policy Files for JDK/JRE 8 Download
I have another local jive 8.0.2 instance outside VM and I am able to add tiles without any error so wondering if there is any configuration or environment permission which blocking for this.
Please help and provide inputs so that I can proceed on VM Jive Instance.
Got 2 system properties which were forcing my development environment to try to run on SSL certificate.
1) Admin Console > Add-ons > Domain Security> Select Not Secure option.
2) Removed jive.apps.protocol.override=https
By these two changes, its working now.
