I do not have the answer, but a question about this feature and its success in getting to "correct answers:"
Has the auto-email had a positive impact? We are using public calls to action; asking member to indicate which answer helped them the most by marking an answer correct. More important to me than the correct answer is creating the right behavior and setting the expectation within the community that many want to know if an answer within a discussion solved a problem. I am also trying to limit the emails sent :-)
Hi Tracy and Toby,
Yes, this can be configured via the following system property:
spring.openQuestionMonitorTask.period = value in hours (defaults to 4)
Once this is set you will need to perform a restart of your instance for the changes to propagate.
Hi Toby Metcalf
We really only have a few question monitors - and their 'job' is to, if the owner of the group, or the people who could answer the question, don't reply within a day or so, reach out to those people to prompt them to answer.
I do think that the email notifications are a good thing, because we struggle with getting people to put themselves out there. The prompt helps.
Jesse Fuller - THANK YOU!
Thanks Tracy - good to have your perspective.
