    Embedding iFrames in HTML view

      CC:  Brent Soffey

I'm currently working with some users on a project.

They would like to know if there's a way to add HTML embed code into the HTML view of a piece of content (e.g, discussion, blog post, document are the content types that make most sense to me.)

I last tested this functionality 12 months ago -- when a user asked if it were possible to embed an iFrame. (The answer was: you can embed an iFrame and it will save as a DRAFT but you cannot PUBLISH it.)

To test, I have tried embedding a video into a discussion and a blog post.

      FYI -- link to Video:

FYI - emebed Code to Video:

      <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/4Yqtp1vtdSw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

FINDING:  Video into a discussion or blog post:

      • I could embed the video using the wisiwyg functionality. and the add Video button.
      • I could not Publish the video using the HTML viewer.

FYI -- Link to a Blog Post trying to Embed a video using the WISIWYG and HTMP:

As a second test, I have tried embedding a Storify into a discussion and a blog post.

FYI -- link to a Storify:

FYI - Embed Code to a storify:

      <div class="storify"><iframe src="//storify.com/tvo/teachontario-officially-launches/embed?border=false" width="100%" height="750" frameborder="no" allowtransparency="true"></iframe><script src="//storify.com/tvo/teachontario-officially-launches.js?border=false"></script><noscript>[<a href="//storify.com/tvo/teachontario-officially-launches" target="_blank">View the story "TeachOntario officially launches!" on Storify</a>]</noscript></div>

FYI -- Link to a Blog Post trying to Embed a Storify with Embed:

As there is no "upload" or "embed" function in the WISIWYG, I added the correct HTML. And I could not publish the discussion and blog with the Storify embeded.

Am I missing something? Or does Jive not allow iFrames?
