    Jive Adoption Training for our Physicians

      I just wanted to share a few photos of our team, burgessr605 and bevisl at our company's Spring Symposium where we had a booth set up to train our physicians on how to use Jive and make sure they're aware of the amazing features it has. They especially loved the search function!!

          Thanks for the share Sara!  It's always a great idea to tie community training and awareness in with your face-to-face events when possible.  What are some of the most common questions or concerns or interests you hear from physicians?

              A common concern we hear from them is "oh no, not one more thing to check." We have an internal portal, use Box, and of course email. If they're comfortable with a forum-type site they typically take to it well. But, if they don't want to learn something new, we show them how to change their email preferences so they can just get the newsletter and can check that rather than going to the site. They're already super busy people, so we understand and try to take what we can get for now.

               

              We try to message to them that a lot of the content that is currently on our internal portal will now go into Jive, which is searchable--lack of searchablility was HUGE pain point for them. And, their email should be reduced if the platform is used properly. Another thing we emphasize that everyone seems to like is that all the great discussions that happen over email end up being lost knowledge. And, if those discussions now happen in Jive, then they can share that knowledge and have it be searchable for future physicians in the partnership.

              Oh, no not another place to check!

               

              a huge pain point is getting all the systems to come together in a one-stop-shop type of experience. I'm curious how we can begin to do this with our jive internal instance. For example, brining in HealthStream, Success Factors, Kronos etc so it doesn't become one more place to check but instead their community Plus all the things they need to get their job done more easily & efficiently.

                  Ooh, yeah--this is something we've also been trying to figure out. We use Okta for SSO and we've been trying to sell it as a "one stop for all your work-related apps." Most of the providers seem to take to Okta well because they can go to one central place to get to everything, rather than having disparate links saved or bookmarks. But, it's not a perfect system and like with most adoption issues, some people like it, some people don't, and some people don't want to try a new thing.
