Yes, you can. There is specific instructions noted at https://community.jivesoftware.com/docs/DOC-58325#jive_content_id_How_do_I_create_a_mission_that_can_only_be_accomplishe…
With Advanced Gamification, you must use the document and video ID which can be found in the URL of the content:
Metadata for Specific Content
The values for type are the human readable names for the content: thread (for all discussions), document, blogpost, idea, video, poll, event, message (for discussion replies)
- type (lowercase)
- First, the content has to be created before you can create a mission for it. For content such as documents and blog posts that have draft forms that is sufficient.
- Navigate to the content and for all content other then blog posts (we'll cover them next) you can use the ID number in the URL directly
- id (lowercase)
I hope this helps.
Technical Account Manager
Thank you for such a quick response. I'm using meta data to specify the document and type but the issue that I'm running into is having to use the trigger DocumentEvent-binary_body_download. Is is forcing the user to download the document to receive the badge.
Ah, I see what you mean. When reviewing the Advanced Gamification actions list at Jive Advanced Gamification Module: Action List , only blog posts have the option to view triggering an action.
Jive Rewards has the option to use the trigger from a document "Your profile or content by you was viewed by someone' per Re: Rewards - Is there a list of all the action triggers? which you then search for the content or person to which is the target of the quest.
This showed up in my inbox as I thought you were asking in the private support group, but now see the audience is for everyone. Hopefully this helps.
Thank you Ben! After today's webinar we are thinking about possibly switching over to Jive Rewards.
