in my eyes, this is not possible OOTB. This requires custom software development
- It would be possible by using system webhooks (https://developers.jivesoftware.com/api/v3/cloud/rest/WebhooksService.html) to get notified about created user profiles (jive:user_account_created).
- When getting this event, you could use that information, read the profile with the specified field (https://developers.jivesoftware.com/api/v3/cloud/rest/ProfileEntity.html)and add the user to a security group (https://developers.jivesoftware.com/api/v3/cloud/rest/SecurityGroupService.html#addMembers(String, List<String>))
I gave those resources a read through, I am wondering if there are some decent tutorials on doing this kind of development. I'm versed with the JSON side of things, although I admit I shaky with REST.
I did find these official tutorials https://developer.jivesoftware.com/intro/#building-an-api-client
But I would like to confirm if there are better or more updated places to get the information on making something like Adina's request a reality.
Thanks for your input and time.
