Hi Marissa Dimino,
As fellow users of the Jive platform, our support team also has need of easy access to these stats. Personally, I haven't found an elegant way to acquire these with the current v3 API and the v3 documentation seriously needs more work for it to be comprehensible and easily doable (thorough examples...).
Depending on how desperate you are for these stats, I found a way to acquire them with the old v2 API with a couple of lines at the command prompt.
For starters, here are some links to help grasp what's going on:
I won't go into the exact details on this first post as you may not be up for slogging through this. But, to give you an idea, here are the basic templates:
(You need CURL installed and a Client ID and Secret from your admin accounts to access the API)
Run this with your creds using CURL @ Windows Command Line (Also try ./curl…) to get AUTHORIZATION CODE
curl -XPOST -i "https://api.jivesoftware.com/analytics/v1/auth/login?clientId=<clientId provided by admin>&clientSecret=<clientSecret provided by admin>"
AUTHORIZATION CODE in BOLD
HTTP/1.1 200 OK
Then with the authorization code inserted after Authorization: below, adjust the time frame and fields you want as hinted at from the articles I posted earlier, and set the path to where you want them exported to and run.
curl -XGET -H "Authorization: 636e7866-0ffb-4430-9e3c-84c00051f788" "https://api.jivesoftware.com/analytics/v2/export/activity/csv?before=2016-07-01T00:00:00.000&after=2016-03-31T23:59:59.999&filter=or(name(ACTIVITY_ACCLAIM_MESSAGE),name(ACTIVITY_RESOLVED_MESSAGE))&fields=activity.actionObject.author.name,activity.actor.email,activityType" > "E:\Documents\2016Q2 CommStats.txt"
Hope this helps you along :-)
