Which version of Jive are you on? I have not heard this issue reported, but I can look to see if there are any bugs with that behavior, depending on the version.
If you are a member of your Private Support Group (aka MyJive Group), you can create a support case in your private group which would allow for the support team to review the behavior as well as your environments settings/configurations.
