    Best practices for deleting inactive community members




      Does anyone have best practices to share for removing inactive (e.g., left the company) community members via the admin console without adversely affecting the content they've created?


      I need to keep their content but no longer consider them active and do not want them counted toward analytic measures like active, participating, etc.


      I would like a "true" active member count but have heard that by deleting someone who is no longer active, I'll remove their content, too.


      I need to keep the content they created. In fact, I'd love to be able to reassign it to someone but that's another topic. I understand that there's no function for that.


      I'd read of an add-on to help with this community clean-up process but haven't seen another reference to it. Would like to hear more about that.

      All advice is welcome.
