      The Bay Area User Group meeting - November 16, 2016 featured a Roundtable session hosted by Jive Product Managers.           Jeremy Grant and Vinh Jones it was great meeting you both yesterday. Thanks for hosting the roundtable.

           

          • Regarding the new RTE, here are a few issues regarding tables, while better in many ways, it can be difficult to do the following:
            • Reuse a specific color - It is difficult to choose a consistent color for a row, column, cell without copy/pasting/remembering the hex code or RGB numbers . You can select a broad range of colors, but it doesn't remember the last color used or provide some standard colors to choose from.
            • Add padding - There is not a way to select the padding without manually adding it to the style (most will know how to do that easily)
            • Merge cells - You can find merge cells is in the menu in the RTE but not in the menu on the right of the table - should be on the right as part of the "Cell Properties" functionality
            • Indent bullets - I've been told its a bug, but bullets don't indent

           

          • It would be awesome to allow dynamic content within the body/description of content using the RTE. Almost like a tile within a document/blog/discussion.

           

          • I would love to be able to add form fields within content and then submit and choose what that does, send email, create a new document/table,etc.

           

          • Add an option to insert standard icons for common calls to action such as:
            • Register
            • Submit
            • Contact us
            • Help needed
            • Questions
            • Feedback
            • Deadline

          This would allow us to quickly add some graphical elements without searching/inserting from a photo.

           

          Are there other issues I missed? Any other ideas for RTE improvements?
