From your description above, as you mention you are able to view the content via the /content page, but not when searching, it's possible these items are not indexed for search. As such, I would suggest re-indexing your content search via your admin console >> system >> settings >> search page:
As a note, while this process runs, you might notice searches take slightly longer to return results. Additionally, if this does not resolve the issue, I would recommend submitting a case in your customer group ( MyJive Secret Support Group Administration FAQ ) as a next step so that a member of our support team can assist with further investigations into your specific instance.
