Reviewing through your description this appears to be an issue that was tracked as JIVE-73018, which is listed as no longer reproducible starting in the 8.0.6 and Current Jive Cloud release of the Jive platform. As such, if you are on an older release of the Jive Platform performing an upgrade to the latest release should resolve the behavior. However, if you are on the latest release and are still experiencing the behavior, please submit a case in your customer group ( MyJive Secret Support Group Administration FAQ ) where a member of our support team can assist with additional investigations specific to your instance.
Thank you Jesse. We are on 8.0.3 and are planning on upgrading to 9 in the next few months - which sounds like it will take care of this problem.
