After several weeks, we haven't heard anything about this. Is anyone able to provide insight?
Greg Edelston - Pardon for the drop here. This was during our ramp-up to JiveWorld and we weren't able to field this request. I'm going to try and see if anyone knows internally (as I do not deal with the Reporting schema often, but rather DES).
I'm not 100% if Jive Cloud Admin uses DES for it's reports ... or these tables (I suspect DES) ... but let me see if I can find someone with knowledge and I'll try to get back with you next week.
P.S. What version of Jive are you running? Also, can you confirm this is the table you are talking about? SchemaSpy - Table setoopifan.public.jivedw_activity_agg_user_day

Thanks Ryan! We're running Jive version 188.8.131.52. Here's the table we're using: https://docs.jivesoftware.com/schemas/9_0/analytics/tables/jivedw_activity_agg_day.html.
Looking forward to hearing back!
The general consensus I'm getting internally is that once the data hits those tables ... the visibility to discern between the two scenarios you proposed is lost. DES appears to be the primary means to determine this...since you still have access to client access information / headers. If anything else surfaces, I'll float it back up...but it looks like this response is leaning heavily in this direction.
Wish I had a better answer for you, but hope this helps in some regard.
