Lexmark International, Inc. in Lexington KY (the company's HQ)

What is your role in the organization and in your Jive community?

I am the Enterprise Knowledge Architect (focusing on collaboration and content management strategy) and community admin since our purchase of Jive in 2012

What version of Jive do you use and what type of community?

We have an internal community (open to all employees and contractors (about 12,000)) on Jive Cloud

Tell us what brought you to this group. What are your interests?

I am very interested in organizational learning and "lessons learned", and trying to figure out how (where appropriate) we can take unstructured knowledge created in our community and capture/structure/formalize it for delivery through our LMS.

              Greetings!

I work at McGraw-Hill Education, where I am responsible for our internal Jive-n Cloud community. I've long felt that learning, in the broadest sense, is the single greatest benefit that our organization gains from using Jive, so I am interested in learning (see what I did there?) more about ways to use Jive to help people learn.

                  • I'm a learning practitioner by trade. I currently help my clients grow thriving learning environments and cultures by teaching habits and leveraging social collaboration platforms like Jive. I'm interested in hearing new ways of shifting mindsets of learners from feeling that the organization is responsible for providing learning to believing learners are responsible for their own learning, and that of their peers and colleagues.

                  Where do you work?

                  • Northwestern University in Evanston, IL

What is your role in the organization and in your Jive community?

                  • I'm Associate Director of the Master's Program in Learning & Organizational Change. We use Jive as our learning environment (yes, we pretty much ignore our LMS). I teach in Jive, and have a little bit of say-so in how the community is setup and designed.

What version of Jive do you use and what type of community?

                  • Jive Cloud - an internal community of students, faculty and a few alumni (roughly 200 total active users)

Tell us what brought you to this group. What are your interests?

                  • I'm really interested in what people in the corporate world are doing to innovate in L&D using enterprise social network systems. Or, in helping think through how to do that. It's really what we do here in our graduate program.

                      • Community engagement and knowledge content have to be connected to drive usage of the platform and deliver self-sufficiency to users. So hoping to figure out all the best ways to connect our knowledge content in meaningful ways to our community users.

                      Hi All -

Looking forward to the learning conversation. I've long been a learning heretic because I'm one of those won't-stay-in-the-box, won't-color-inside-the-lines types who has always learned best through dialog and experience. I also believe that learning behaviors are more important to measure than outcomes... because the outcomes can be faked but if the behavior is good, the outcomes will come and be repeatable. And I believe communities normalize behaviors. So it makes sense that I send my kid to a school with a Director of Community, right?

                      Where do you work?

                      • The am the co-founder of The Community Roundtable. Before that, I was a technology analyst, product executive, and management consultant.

What is your role in the organization and in your Jive community?

                      • My role in our own organization and with our client is to tie individual behaviors to strategic outcomes... or more simply, how can you make learning behaviors normalized to achieve complex business outcomes like innovation, collaboration and culture change.

What version of Jive do you use and what type of community?

                      • N/A

Tell us what brought you to this group. What are your interests?

                      • My belief is that 'Control is for Amateurs' and that people do not learn best by being told what to do... and we need to completely rethink our approach to learning. I also think that as more jobs get done by technology, learning and collaboration are the core differentiators that humans have, so we best get better at it. Because of that, the goal of education/learning should be less about standardization and consensus and more about enabling the uniqueness and diversity in each of us - and making that the social norm vs it being seen as threatening or risky.

                        • What is your role in the organization and in your Jive community?
                          • I lead Community and Knowledge Management strategy for Commvault, a new role for the company. I run our social intranet called CONNECT for the enterprise. I report into Internal Communications which sits within Marketing. This is my dream job -- exactly what I wanted to do when after I graduated from the Northwestern University MS in Learning & Org Change program.

                        • Tell us what brought you to this group. What are your interests?
                          • I joined this group back in 2013 after attending my first JiveWorld and meeting many fellow higher education customers (back then I was working with Jeff Merrell at Northwestern University). I was looking to connect with other people using Jive for learning.
                          • After JiveWorld14, I joined forces with other fabulous learning geeks (Amy Castillo, awooler Stan Jeffress) to breathe new life into this group and am thrilled that we have a whole track this year at JiveWorld 17!!
                          • I am passionate about building communities that wrap informal learning around more formal learning and development and breaking the mold of how we "do learning" in orgs. I am not a huge fan of the LMS but know it is one piece of the puzzle for learning and want to integrate Jive with our LMS in order to surface courses and other content for people who spend much more time in our Jive community than they do in the LMS.
                          • I have been experimenting with applying some of the social learning & onboarding work that I did with Jeff Merrell at Northwestern in the corporate world, specifically with our Sales Enablement team. The short story is that using Jive for learning / onboarding can easily work in very different contexts and industries.

Hi!  My name is Lina and I am used to the hosted version of Jive.  I used Jive to create a social learning environment for languages and soft skills and, later, an active community to help support the internal customer including Q&A and ESN-Collaboration training as the Enterprise Community Manager.

I would LOVE to find a new OPPORTUNITY to work with Jive in a learning environment.  I am in the MD-DC area and remote is an option.  @mention me if  you hear of any leads during jiveworld 2017

                            G'Day Everyone!

I'm Anne  - from downunder - that is Sydney, Australia.

                            • Where do you work?
I'm Managing Director and Founder of the Ripple Effect Group. We're digital workplace architects -  a professional services consulting company that provides strategy, implementation and technology to organisations.
We've been Jive partners since 2008.
                            • What is your role in the organization and in your Jive community?
My role - like most business owners covers so many facets!
I'm a specialist in how people use social technologies to communicate and collaborate, a learning experiences designer (I have a PhD in educational psychology that investigated how adult learners use social technologies to enhance their learning experiences), and a social anthropologist researcher (quasi-academic).
In the business, I work with clients to transform their ways of working and learning, supported with digital technologies.
And all the other business administrative responsibilities MDs have!
                            • What version of Jive do you use and what type of community?
We are Jive's preferred partner in Australia and manage a wide range of Jive clients. Their use of Jive is diverse - from Jive-x to Jive-n.
We have a number of clients using Jive for learning communities as their core business. Others are starting to dabble with the integration of learning - both for employees and customers.
                            • Tell us what brought you to this group. What are your interests?
I've been passionate about social technologies since late '90s and I'm excited to see how we are really starting to make in-roads with the integration of learning and working - particularly in Jive!

I'm really looking forward to being part of these discussions and hope to meet up with people at JiveWorld 17.
I'm also part of the closing panel in the L & D stream - congrats to Keeley Sorokti, Amy Castillo & Stan Jeffress for getting L&D onto the JiveWorld program!!

We are learning strategists at Trinity Health and are Jive advocates in the organization.  We're on Jive-n version 8.  I'm excited to meet everyone today and hear how you're using/or thinking about using Jive in formal/informal learning.

                                • What is your role in the organization and in your Jive community?

Director of Networks. I am the lead of TheCR Network, a private peer network of community practitioners who work across industry and use case. We are a community of learners!

We do not use Jive, but many of our members do! It's a private, external facing community of practice.

Learning is such an important part of facilitation. I've been working with Keeley and Jeff Merrell for a few years and am very interested in facilitating learning in groups of people. I'm honored to curious about following along and learning alongside all of you.

                                  • I currently work at Commvault, with the lovely Keeley Sorokti as a temp, doing a lot of work in terms of learning how to use the Jive platform to get work done.
                                  • We are on Jive-n Cloud, and I also have previous experience running a Jive-n Hosted v8 platform.
                                  • Like Ted, I've long been working to find ways to facilitate learning on the Jive platform. In fact I have some experience using SmarterPath in a previous iteration, giving lots of feedback that has led to its current state.

I think it is incredibly important to help people learn, and to help them track that learning, both for their own peace of mind as well as for them to get credit within their orgs for having that learning mindset.

                                    • Tell us what brought you to this group. What are your interests?
                                      • We believe Jive could serve as an enabler to supporting the evolution of a learning culture. Most learning happens outside the classroom. We also know that global boundaries can be constraining. Social learning isn't necessarily new. What is new is how much more connected we are through the use of technologies like Jive. This could be a game changer and we would love to hear about use cases, successes and learning from leveraging Jive in this capacity.

                                        • Tell us what brought you to this group. What are your interests?
                                          • I attended JiveWorld17 in early May and went to each of the L&D track breakout sessions.  While we have yet to launch Jive, I would like to become better versed in what the platform offers and specifically how it is being utilized in L&D.  I would like to learn how my Jive colleagues are using the platform to support collaboration in learning and how we as an organization can tap into the great things already being accomplished within internal communities across the globe.
