Need anonymous users to engage on Jive community

    puja_kumari

      Hi Team,

Currently, we see that anonymous users can not engage on any post in our community.

They need to first login to like or comment on any post.

We have requirement where we need anonymous users to engage on posts. Specifically like or rate the post.

Is it technically feasible via any customization or settings change.

      Thanks and regards,

      Puja

I don't think Jive exposed some settings/system-properties to have this feature. But, this is technically possible through Jive core customization's

If you want users to post anonymously content, comment or rate a content..    anything w.r.t content then you have to customize Java classes, Soy, JS and FTL files. you can wrap all of these as a plugin or through web-overlay. Good Luck

              Thanks for the reply Gopi.

I guess I got a way by using permission levels settings.

Ours is a jive hosted public facing community.

I saw that Jive provide a user group called everyone which are the guest users.

we can create custom permission level for this group which allows them to like or rate a content , in our case document.

then we can apply this to the space where we want anonymous users to get engaged.
