Re: Our previous community manager has left the company. How do we disable the user without deleting their content from the community?
Helen Chen Dec 20, 2017 1:57 PM (in response to cgalvez)1 person found this helpfulYour content should be ok as long as you don't delete the account. When you look at content that was created by someone who has left, instead of seeing their picture, you see the grey silhouette. You see examples of this within the older Jive content if you poke around.

Re: Our previous community manager has left the company. How do we disable the user without deleting their content from the community?
cgalvez Dec 20, 2017 1:57 PM (in response to Helen Chen)Is there a way to delete the account (to free up an account space) without deleting the content? Our community has several people who have left, but we are unable to remove their accounts because of the important pieces of content they have contributed to the community.

Helen Chen Dec 20, 2017 2:05 PM (in response to cgalvez)1 person found this helpfulHere is an example of what it looks like: https://community.jivesoftware.com/people/kyanring/content
The only concern I would have on this is if someone leaves a comment, is there anyone to respond? I'd make sure that you follow the space that the content is in if that is a concern of yours.

Helen Chen Dec 20, 2017 3:01 PM (in response to b.taub)1 person found this helpfulI ran into that recently - that works for documents, but I am not sure that it works for all content types. I think I had an issue with blogs. I am a little suspicious of discussions for this too…
