How to stop a jeg from popping up if I click the image

    boxideveloper

I have created a document consisting only of a jpeg image of labled buttons.   I use mapped area tags to assign each button to a different url.   The code works fine where I hover an area , i see the distinct url per button ,    When I click any of the buttons in the image , it works fine and i am navigated to the respective site.

My problem is that unmapped spaces in the jpeg is annoyingly clickable where , when clicked it displays the larger view of the jpeg itself.

Is there a way to stop an image from being clickable in a mapped area code or in general?

      Thanks,
