    roadmap 2018

    ingevwb

In the new year's resolution of Scott Brighton we read "throughout 2018 will bring a host of core user experience improvements designed to help you get more value out of the capabilities the software already has: • Spaces & Places & Groups, oh my!Jive has a series of confusing and seemingly overlapping organizing constructs that we will bring together into a single, simplified organization, with no loss of capability".

Is there already some more known about this simplification: direction and timing? We are planning the development of 2 digital modules for our publishers and group owners and would like to know if we can proceed on the current structure or better implement directly the new direction.

          Hi ingevwb!

Have you checked out Scott's recent blog, Letter to Jive Customers: A Look Back and What's Ahead? It gives a good review of 2017 and what to expect in 2018.

As for place simplification, that is definitely on the roadmap, but we are unable to speak to the timing just yet. I would recommend moving forward with the current structure, since it could take significant time before we see the place simplification. We will be doing everything we can to make the transition painless for customers using groups and spaces (which is almost everyone!).

          Best,

          Sarah

Sarah,  thanks for the reply and reco. We indeed read the blog and found there the reference to the place simplification. Hence our question. Looking forward to hear more about the simplification plans as soon they are more concrete.  And we are happy to think with you. By working with groups, we collect a lot of ideas and questions on how to improve the customer experience.
