Did you see the timeout error in the logs. Can you do the following.
1. Access https://maven-secure.jivesoftware.com/archiva/repository/jive.internal in browser with your developer credentials which you have in settings.xml in ".m2" repository. As there is a timeout error in the logs.
2. Can you do "mvn -U clean install" which force updates your snapshots or dependencies locally.. I believe you had run the maven command on the child project and when again running it on parent throws this error.. "-U" is used to force update snapshots. if you are using IntelliJ Idea then you can tick a checkbox available in maven settings screen.
3. Check whether you are behind proxy. If yes, the add the proxy credentials in the settings.xml
