How long do you plan to have Jive down for maintenance?
Also, what platform are you - on-premise, jive hosted, jive cloud?
We are Jive hosted. We have our own server.
I went to admin permission and can block the space creation but there is nothing to make it read only.
Ok, if you have your own service, I think you mean that you are on-premise
I would look at this document that shows you how to enable maintenance mode for Jive when on-premise. Users won't be able to see the community, but you can make the maintenance page have important links to other systems in the case Jive is down
