On our corporate communities installation, the All Content RSS feeds correctly show all newly created documents and discussion threads, but do not show responses to discussion threads. Our IT department has told me that this is working "as designed by the vendor" and that if I want to get responses to the discussions, I need to subscribe to the Discussion Messages feed. That means that to monitor *everything* happening in a community, I need to have multiple (overlapping?!) RSS feeds.
Can anyone confirm that this really is working as intended? If so, does anyone know the list of feeds I need to subscribe to (preferably non-overlapping, 'cos I don't like duplicate notifications).
As an aside, given the large number of communities we have for internal, semi-internal and external areas of the site, I'm already concerned about the feed management overhead required.
Your IT administrator was correct, this is the behavior for the All Content RSS feeds. However, it sounds like you could get what you are looking for by using a set of distinct feeds by choosing the ones you want from the list in the documentation. You'll want to choose the 'Discussion messages' feed to get the stream of all new threads and replies.
Hope that helps,
