Paul - thank you for your feedback! For the next two weeks while Clearstep is available just to Jive customers, anonymous access has been disabled. This is leading to some of the problems you are seeing (such as not being able to view recent content on the main page) Once you log in, then ou should have full access to everything.
Which leads to your next suggestion where it is not very clear (especially if there is not recent content to view) where to go. Thanks for the feedback on this and we will look into ways of making it more clear. Just for reference, the browse menu will have a drop down menu of communities where you can explore.
In relation to the T&C, there may be content on this site that is syndicated to the jivesoftware.com website to show activity in the community. Usually the title of the post and the author will appear. In addition, in seminars and webinars we will be referencing the existance of this site and there may be the chance that your thread or name would be used in the process. As it relates to any makerting materials where we would quote you specifically, this would be a rare situation and we would definitely contact you and seek permission before using your conversation/content.
even logged in i cant do things like 'personalize' my space, although i do get a banner saying click to the link above..I am guessing permissions gremlins at work.
Yes, I am having trouble with the personalization aspect of the site, too.

I echo this feedback. I already knew about that navigation and it took me several minutes to remember that's how it works.
