    Understanding the reach of social media

      In a recent blog post at Forrester I started a social media experiment to see how far into the C-Suite social media extends and also to get a perspective from social media users on the value of social media to business. The survey closes jan 18th and already we are seeing some interesting results.


      It's not surprising that most users of social media are seeing real busines value in social media, including benefits in their own daily work.


      Contrary to what some in the media might have us believe, Twitter users, at least those taking our survey, are not mostly unemployed geeks - they are in full-time employment. Have you linked Twitter to your community in any way?


      What are your perspectives on business use of social media beyond the BtoC consumer facing sites? How are you using social communities to drive business value internally or with suppliers? (Reply with links of good examples).
