Hello, I'm Bo Ahlberg, a Business Analyst with T-Mobile. I work on a Business Strategy team that looks at solutions and technologies in the retail, care, and sales space. I'm here to understand that which "Jive" is, what it can do, what it can't do, and where I can... share where our thinking is going in relation to knowledge creation, management, and distribution.
On the personal side... Runner, photographer, dabbler in things PHP & MySQL, and long time Mac user.
Questions? Feel free to ask.
Welcome, Bo! Fantastic that you're here. Have you met my colleague, Barry Tallis from Jive Consulting yet? I know he was working with T-Mobile recently.
Here are a few groups you might want to investigate:
Also, you may find value in attending next week's Social Business Leadership Roundtable Webcast with Yum!, Intel, and Forrester, Tuesday, June 29, at 10:00 am Pacific. The Yum! case study in particular will interest you, since they are somewhat similar in go-to-market strategy as T-Mobile.
You'll find various use cases for Jive SBS scattered throughout our community. Best approach is to simply browse the discussions here and in other related places, and jump in.
Let me know if you'd like to ever start a group for business analysts, or other business-related topic that you think others like you would be interested in discussing.

My name is Xena Lappin, I am the Business Development Direct for Serco India (you may know my husband ). I am looking to get loads of hints and tips as to how to embed Jive (Fuse in our case) into Serco as a tool which is the first thing that people open in the morning when they get into work. I will be keeping an eye on the posts in this area to try and steal as much knowledge as possible.
Hello My name is Imran Aziz, I am a Technical Consultant and Technical lead at Headshift Ltd. We are currently looking for JIVE contractors who can help us out with custom JIVE development, is there a location on the site where I can find JIVE contractors or active plugin developers filtered by region.
Thanks a lot,
Imran - Are you looking for remote or local contractors? If remote, we have a number of options. If local, please advise where (what country ---- EMEA I assume) that you are looking for contractor assistance? From there the Jive Alliances team can plug you into Jive Implementation Partner Community to engage the right resources.
Since you are part of Headshift, also please join Jive's Partner Community Group . This will be another good resource / Group to post this request.
I thank you in advance!
I am looking into your site on Jive. I am trying to get a sense of how it works, feels and how easliy employees might adopt it. As a knowledge manager in the Netherlands I am interested in creating a social network within the company I work for. I have been working on knowledge management and online collaboration/networking for a number of years now. I have not had any experience with Jive yet and would like to consider it for our plans for social networking. Are there any cases of Dutch companies using Jive? Is there any chance of Dutch being added to the language options?
Am looking forward to your response.
I'm Luis Albinati, competency manager for Portals, Systems and Collaboration @ Cyberlynxx - Brazil. We're also part of Jive Partnership program, developing a project for an innovative project for a big company in Brazil. Glad to join this group and learn more about Jive Business.

Hello everyone, I'm Lindsay May, I do internal communications for Life Time Fitness. We are using Jive for deploying our first intranet! We are in the middle of soft launch and will be deploying to the entire company very soon. We love the social interaction Jive brings to the table and the fact that it promotes transparency within the company. We have received great feedback so far from our employees and are looking forward to further developments of the site.
Hi Luis and Lindsay!
I suggest you also check out the thriving Internal Communities group and join.
Lindsay, I worked with Candace Knight last September to develop a strategy for Life Time Fitness' internal community, and I live in St. Paul. I also finally met Bob Stanke in person a few weeks ago!
Let me know if you'd like a copy of what we created last year, which I'm sure might be a bit out of date, but might help in some way...
Whatever you do, don't structure it according to organizational lines alone. That's the fastest way to make an employee community die, IMO. I think Candace and I discussed using Spaces for the Corporate Services areas (Communications, HR, etc.), which I've seen work well at other customers. Spaces are GREAT for facilitating the Corporate Voice to team members (employees), and Groups are fantastic for encourage team members to converse and collaborate and share with each other. For example, you can encourage each fitness location to create their own group. Then, you could create a Space as a "lobby" for each region.
Main Space: "Locations"
Then, on the overview page of the Michigan space, highlight the various Michigan location groups. You don't have to list all of them, just a few. The system surfaces similar groups to members as they browse through groups. Or, you could use a custom widget we've built for other customers - let me know if you'd like more information about it.
The Michigan leadership could use the Space to communicate to Michigan team members, and it would become the place to go for general information about Michigan locations, SOPs, etc. Team members would then use their individual location groups to collaborate within their "four walls," for example, that's where they'd innovate a SOP. Once the new SOP has been proven to work more successfully, they could "advertise" it in the Michigan region's space.
And from there, you could start highlighting SOP innovations in a completely separate SOP Space at the main level in the hierarchy.
The best thing is that it doesn't really matter where the content lives over time, as long as someone is actively working to socialize it in various areas. For example, if you find this comment useful, you can simply link to it from any other area in this community, as well as in your internal community.
Ok, I'm gonna stop now. Hope this helps!
