I am starting to see some of our leaders use our internal communities as a way to keep learning going after their staff have attended formal training. Keeping momentum going after training is so important to ground learning and encourage participants to think about the learning within their own context.
Thinking beyond the classroom and extending the learning into a community could be as easy as asking others to:
share their ideas on how to apply the learning to the work environment
share an action item that they identified during the training (i.e. Start, Stop, Continue)
I'm interested in knowing if any others have had success in this area. And if so, do you have any ideas/examples to share on how to keep the momentum going after classroom training ends through a community.
