Just a quick walkthrough with a few ideas. The default on boarding experience can't do a lot, because it isn't smart enough to know what content is in your Jive instance.
How you can improve the on boarding experience (with our without quests)
- Create a safe place for new users with guides and direct them there.
- Create content that introduces users to the basics of the community and the culture.
- Direct users to a place where they can test some of the functionality with no judgement or worries that they are breaking things.
Use a mix of blogs, well constructed (and consistent) landing pages and a rewards framework to guide new users to success.
